First Visit
Our team looks forward to meeting you and your child for their first dental visit. Whether it is their first ever visit or their first visit with us, our gentle and patient team will do our best to make you feel at home. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child be seen for their first dental visit by the age of one. This is because many dental conditions are preventable and our goals for these early visits is to lay a foundation early on for good hygiene, healthy diet, encourage good habit formation and to help your child develop positive associations with the dental office, Dr. Eric and our team.
At Pinnacle Pediatric Dentistry, we’ve set up our offices to make nervous kids comfortable during every visit—especially the first one. We even have TVs on the ceiling so you can watch a movie during your cleaning!
At all new patient visits we begin by discussing any questions or concerns you may have.
Our welcoming staff will provide home-care instructions and a dental hygiene goody bag.
Your child's teeth will be thoroughly cleaned and any necessary dental x-rays will be completed.
The dentist will then provide a comprehensive oral exam and discuss findings and recommendations with parents.
And of course, each child’s visit ends with a prize!

Our goal for parents is to make sure you feel welcome and comfortable in our care. We know how important it is to for you to trust the team of professionals providing treatment for your children. Our team is specialized in treating children and we will strive to delver quality care comfortably and make every appointment as pleasant as we can. We welcome parents to stay with their children during their appointments. Some parents choose to nurture their children's independence and allow them to come back on their own and we welcome this too! We acknowledge that every child is different so we leave the decision entirely up to you. You are more than welcome to accompany your child during all of their dental appointments here at our office.
